American actress Selma Blair was arrested at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York and arraigned on assault charges, The Guardian and i24NEWS reported. According to the reports, Blair faces assault charges following a violent altercation aboard a Delta Air Lines flight arriving from Los Angeles.

According to The Guardian, Blair allegedly punched one flight attendant, bit another, and attempted to open the plane door. Following the landing, she was charged with two separate counts of assault for allegedly kicking a police officer and a nurse. Port Authority of New York and New Jersey officials stated that law enforcement responded to the aircraft at around 11:00 p.m. following reports of a physically abusive passenger.
