Argentina has filed an international case seeking a tribunal order to halt British oil drilling activities near the Falkland Islands, Reuters and The Jerusalem Post reported. According to the reports, the legal action targets an Israeli-led offshore oil drilling project.

The tribunal filing follows actions taken by Buenos Aires in September, when it initiated sanctions proceedings against more than 60 companies and individuals linked to the offshore drilling venture. Officials in the United Kingdom have strongly pushed back against the Argentine measures.
