Budapest: Over 200 WWII Bombs Found at Construction Site
Explosives experts are working to neutralize over 200 pieces of ordnance discovered near a major road in the Hungarian capital.
More than 200 bombs and pieces of ordnance from the Second World War were discovered this past Friday at a construction site near Üllői Road in Budapest. According to reports from the media outlets HVG and Telex, Hungarian army explosives experts were summoned to the scene to handle the dangerous cache.
This is the same site where two large destruction bombs were found several weeks ago, along with 25 additional bombs discovered during the month of October. Further details regarding the nature of the ordnance or the closure of routes in the area have not yet been released.
