Clash Over Voting Hours: Yashar Opposes Extension as Committee Presidium Meets
The Yashar party announced its opposition to right-wing demands to extend voting hours, as the Central Elections Committee presidium convened to deliberate.
The Yashar party has voiced opposition to requests by the Likud and right-wing slates to extend voting hours in the election for the 26th Knesset, broadcaster Kan 11 reported. The party asserted that there was no exceptional incident justifying such an extension.
Meanwhile, according to news outlet JDN, the Amcha Yisrael party joined calls to extend polling hours, citing unusual crowding at voting stations. Following the requests, the presidium of the Central Elections Committee convened to discuss the matter.
