Drone Attack in the Black Sea: Two Ships Struck off the Bulgarian Coast

Aerial and naval drones struck two commercial vessels off the coast of Bulgaria, causing one to sink with its crew reported missing.

Two commercial ships were struck by aerial and naval drones off the Bulgarian coast in the Black Sea, and one of them sank, Bulgarian outlet Dnevnik and Croatian network N1 reported.

Bulgarian Prime Minister Rumen Radev confirmed during an emergency cabinet meeting with security and intelligence officials that sea and air drones hit the two vessels. Radev did not specify whether the drones were Russian or Ukrainian.

Meanwhile, local rescue center director Rumen Nikolov stated that the crew of one of the ships is considered missing following the strike. Further details regarding the identities of the vessels and the circumstances of the incident have not yet been released.
