Drone Enters Moldovan Airspace and Explodes in Open Area

An unmanned aerial vehicle entered Moldova's airspace on Wednesday morning, crashed, and exploded in an open area near the village of Hîrbovăț in the Anenii Noi district, Romanian outlet Digi24 and Moldovan newspaper Ziarul de Gardă reported. According to the reports, the incident occurred around 05:40 after the drone was observed at low altitude over the municipality of Bender, amid a massive Russian attack against targets in Ukraine.

According to Moldova's Ministry of Defense and police authorities, no casualties were reported in the incident. Police forces and specialized units arrived at the scene and cordoned off the area to inspect the wreckage. Further details have not yet been released.
