The denial follows claims aired by network MS NOW and cited by Novaya Gazeta Europe, which reported that Patel had arrived in Russia for a two-day trip. According to the reports, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov had previously declined to comment on rumors of a planned visit, and no official confirmation was issued by authorities in either Washington or Moscow.
