A 52-year-old gynecologist was arrested in Greece after police found hundreds of child sexual abuse files on his digital devices.

Greek police arrested a 52-year-old gynecologist on charges of possessing child sexual abuse material, news outlets iefimerida and CNN.gr reported. The arrest was carried out by the Cyber Crime Division following a tip from the US National Center for Missing & Exploited Children regarding the upload of abusive content to cloud storage.

During a search of the suspect's residence and medical clinic, officers seized computers, a mobile phone, and digital storage media containing hundreds of photos and videos depicting the sexual abuse of minors, including children under 12. According to police sources, there is no evidence that the suspect produced the material himself, and he was brought before a prosecutor. Further details have not yet been released.
