Hundreds of Thousands Attend Open-Air Mass by Pope Leo XIV in Paris

Hundreds of thousands of people gathered in central Paris for an open-air Mass led by Pope Leo XIV at the Place de la Concorde. According to Dutch broadcaster NOS and Spanish daily El País, attendance was estimated at between 600,000 and 700,000 people. The pontiff arrived along the Champs-Élysées in the popemobile, with around 2,400 priests and 100 bishops taking part in the service.

According to Croatian outlet Index, the Pope called during his address for a renewal of trust in the Church, warned of the perils of artificial intelligence, and announced plans to meet with victims of clerical abuse. El País also reported that during a visit to a migrant support center, he urged society to support marginalized communities.
