IDF Slams Documentary 'NAZA': 'Distorted and Misleading Picture'
The military firmly rejected claims made in the award-winning documentary regarding strikes in Gaza and artificial intelligence use.
The IDF has issued a detailed and sharp rebuttal to the documentary film "NAZA," directed by Yuval Abraham and Rachel Szor, rejecting a series of claims presented in the work, news outlets Walla and JNS reported. According to the reports, the military asserts that the film presents a distorted, misleading, and unrealistic depiction of targeting procedures and airstrikes during the war in the Gaza Strip.
The documentary, which won a jury prize at the Venice Film Festival and was released worldwide, is based on testimonies from dozens of Israeli soldiers and intelligence personnel. It levels allegations regarding the deliberate targeting of civilians and the military's use of artificial intelligence systems.
The IDF Spokesperson's Unit stated that the film's narrative relies on material factual errors and misrepresents its efforts to minimize civilian casualties. A response from the filmmakers to the military's remarks has not yet been released.
