Inside the INS Drakon: Israel's New Submarine Unveiled at Sea

Israeli media outlets were granted access to the Navy's newest submarine at sea, designed to support operations across distant fronts.

A first look inside the INS Drakon, the Israeli Navy's newest submarine, has been published following a media visit at sea off the coast of Haifa, according to reports by The Jerusalem Post and Maariv.

According to The Jerusalem Post, the submarine's commander said the vessel will enable the military to "get to any enemy, anywhere," and could assist in naval missions in distant theaters such as Iran and Yemen.

Meanwhile, Maariv detailed the daily routine of the crew inside the vessel, noting cramped sleeping quarters, meals planned weeks in advance, and a complete disconnection from mobile phones, with news delivered solely through a daily telegram. Further operational details regarding the submarine have not yet been released.
