Iranian Drone Plot Against US Bombers: Trump Reacts, Germany Warned

New details have emerged regarding the Iranian plot targeting the RAF Fairford airbase in Britain, from which American B-1 bombers were recently evacuated. According to reports by ynet and Arutz 7, citing The New York Times and US media, Tehran planned a drone attack against the strategic aircraft, in an operation modeled after tactics used by Ukraine.

US President Donald Trump addressed the decision to withdraw the aircraft, stating that given intelligence of an imminent threat, there was no reason to leave them stationed there, as reported by Maariv and ynet. According to Maariv, alongside the events in the United Kingdom, Israel also issued an intelligence warning to Germany. Further details regarding the warning and the investigation have not yet been released.
