IRGC Claims Capture of US Drone in Strait of Hormuz

The naval force of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps claims to have forced down an American MQM-170 drone inside Iranian territory.

Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claims to have seized control of an American unmanned aerial vehicle over the Strait of Hormuz and brought it down inside Iranian territory, Israeli newspaper Maariv and Iranian news agency WANA reported.

According to the report by WANA, the IRGC Navy captured a US MQM-170 drone while it was operating in the maritime corridor.

At this stage, no official response has been issued by US officials or the Pentagon, and further details regarding the circumstances of the incident have not yet been released.
