Israel Fuel Prices Set to Surge Past NIS 8 per Liter This Week

Fuel prices in Israel are expected to climb this week, in the transition between Wednesday and Thursday, crossing the 8-shekel-per-liter mark once again. This was reported by Arutz Sheva and Globes.

According to the reports, the price of self-service gasoline is projected to increase by at least 40 agorot, reaching at least about 8.15 shekels per liter.

Globes noted that although fuel prices are largely composed of the excise tax, which was reduced earlier this month, the upcoming price hike is primarily driven by rising global oil prices. Final official figures on the exact rate have not yet been released.
