Israeli Assessment: flydubai Co-Pilot Likely Acted Alone

Israeli investigators assess that the co-pilot who attempted to hijack the flydubai flight likely acted alone as a lone wolf, Canadian outlet CP24 and Makor Rishon reported, citing CBS News. The assessment follows inquiries into whether he received assistance from other crew members.

Meanwhile, according to The Jerusalem Post, the hijacker, Hammam al-Hamami, planned to murder the flight's captain, Smit Machchhar, without raising suspicion. He then intended to continue flying along the scheduled route toward Tel Aviv and crash into skyscrapers in the city.

Further details regarding the investigation's findings have not yet been released.
