Israeli Lawyer Indicted for Contact with Foreign Agent and Obstruction of Justice

State prosecutors filed an indictment in Lod against an attorney arrested weeks ago by the Shin Bet and police.

The State Attorney's Office filed an indictment with the Central District Court in Lod against an Israeli lawyer, charging her with contact with a foreign agent and obstruction of justice.

According to newspaper Haaretz and broadcaster Kan 11, the attorney was detained for questioning about two and a half weeks ago in a joint operation by the Shin Bet security agency and the Israel Police on suspicion of committing security offenses. Meanwhile, The Jerusalem Post reported that prosecutors also petitioned the court to extend her detention until the end of proceedings.
