MK Yitzhak Kroizer to Be Questioned Under Caution Over Alleged Assault on Police Officer

Member of Knesset Yitzhak Kroizer of the Otzma Yehudit party will be questioned under caution on suspicion of assaulting a police officer during a clash in Mitzpe Yeriho, news outlets ynet and JDN reported. According to the reports, the Attorney General and the State Attorney authorized the move, and the investigation was transferred to the national major-crimes unit, Lahav 433.

Concurrently, a joint team will review Kroizer's counter-complaint against the officers. The lawmaker rejected the accusations, asserting that the police acted violently toward him and the party director-general, deployed pepper spray against him, and released photographs displaying bruises on his body. National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir demanded an equal inquiry, alleging selective enforcement. Further details have not yet been released.
