Netanyahu: Directive to IDF and Mossad is to Overthrow Iranian Regime

The prime minister announced at an officer graduation ceremony that security agencies have been instructed to topple the regime in Tehran, while Defense Minister Katz warned Iran would burn if it attacks.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced that he has directed the IDF and the Mossad to work toward overthrowing the Iranian regime, Maariv and The Jerusalem Post reported. Netanyahu delivered the remarks during an officer graduation ceremony.

Netanyahu argued that any accommodation leaving the regime in power would allow it to pursue a nuclear weapon and rebuild its regional proxy network. Defense Minister Israel Katz also addressed the ceremony, warning that "if Iran attacks Israel, Iran will burn!"
