New Details in UK Air Base Plot: Suspect Called Police an Hour Before Witness

The suspect in the RAF Fairford plot phoned emergency dispatch nearly an hour before a local farmer reported masked men, reports say.

New details have emerged surrounding the disruption of the suspected terror plot near Britain's RAF Fairford air base, Arutz Sheva and The Jerusalem Post reported. According to the reports, the suspect who dialed the 999 emergency line placed the call nearly an hour before a local farmer alerted security forces.

The reports also noted that the farmer, who reported seeing masked men surrounding three vans, had actually observed police officers who quickly arrived at the scene in response to the suspect's call.

Police investigators are examining the circumstances of the call and the suspect's motives, and it remains unclear whether he sought to withdraw from the plot or if the call was part of the plan itself.
