A company representative halted an interview with the CEO to avoid a question regarding ChatGPT and suicide, US media outlets reported.

A publicist for artificial intelligence firm OpenAI interrupted an interview with Chief Executive Sam Altman after he was asked a question regarding suicide and the use of ChatGPT, US news outlets HuffPost and Mediaite reported.

According to the reports, the communications staffer intervened during the interview in order to prevent Altman from answering the question. The website BroBible noted that the query referred to Sophie Reily.

The identity of the outlet conducting the interview and the full circumstances surrounding the incident have not yet been released, and OpenAI has not issued an official response.
