A female pedestrian in her 70s was killed after being struck by a truck in the Rehavia neighborhood of Jerusalem, newspaper Makor Rishon reported. According to the report, the driver fled the scene immediately after the collision, prompting police forces to launch a manhunt in the area to locate him.

Subsequently, Maariv reported that the truck driver suspected of fatally striking the woman and fleeing was arrested by police.
