Persian Gulf Oil Exports Surpass Pre-War Levels Despite Tensions
Tracking data indicates that daily shipments exceeded 24 million barrels, supported by bypass pipelines and US tanker escorts.
Oil exports from the Persian Gulf have rebounded to pre-war levels and surpassed them over the past week, news outlets Srugim and JDN reported. According to data from tracking firm Kpler cited in the reports, regional daily shipments climbed to over 24 million barrels.
The increase in flows has been driven in part by pipelines bypassing the Strait of Hormuz alongside a network of tankers operating under US escort. However, Iranian attacks in the region continue, and elevated shipping and insurance costs remain a burden on global oil prices.
