Reports: Iran Preparing to Target US Officials and Diplomats

US intelligence has found that Iranian plans to target and assassinate American officials and diplomats across the Middle East and worldwide have reached advanced stages, Kan 11 and N12 reported.

US officials told N12 that this intelligence is one of the primary reasons behind Washington's decision to draw down staffing at American embassies across the region. According to the report, a memo sent by the Director of National Intelligence to Secretary of State Marco Rubio does not list specific assassination targets.
