Romanian President: Niculescu Government Has Very High Chance of Parliamentary Approval
President Nicușor Dan assessed that the proposed cabinet has a strong chance of winning lawmakers' confidence, with a vote set for Tuesday.

Romanian President Nicușor Dan assessed that there is a very high probability the proposed government led by Luca Niculescu will be approved by Parliament, Romanian broadcaster Digi24 and news website G4Media reported. Dan welcomed agreements reached between the prime minister and political parties, stating they could provide the political stability needed for budget revisions and the passage of next year's budget.
Speaking on the sidelines of the European Council summit in Brussels, Dan emphasized that he personally does not need to be satisfied with the government because Romania is a democracy, adding he hopes not to be in a position to criticize it. The parliamentary confidence vote is scheduled for Tuesday at 14:00.
