Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Arab League Condemn Attack on Qatari LNG Tanker

Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and the Arab League issued sharp condemnations following the attack on the Qatari liquefied natural gas carrier Al Mayeda in the Persian Gulf, network Al Arabiya and the Saudi Gazette reported.

According to the Qatar News Agency, the Arab League expressed full solidarity with Doha over the strike on the vessel, while Kuwait and Riyadh underscored their opposition to threats against maritime shipping lanes and regional security.

The condemnations follow earlier reports that the tanker was struck by unidentified objects while navigating Gulf waters. Further details regarding the identity of the perpetrators have not yet been released.
