Syrian Forces Thwart Hezbollah Cell Near Israeli Border

Syrian Internal Security Forces have disrupted the activities of a Hezbollah cell in the Daraa region in southwestern Syria, The Jerusalem Post and ynet reported.

According to ynet, three operatives affiliated with the Lebanese militant group were arrested by Syrian regime forces in the Yarmouk Basin, near the border with Israel, after attempting to deploy rocket launchers. The Jerusalem Post noted that Syrian security forces described the move as a preemptive operation intended to thwart a planned act of sabotage in the area.
