Trump Calls for Zelensky's Ouster: 'Time for a New President in Ukraine'

US President Donald Trump called for the replacement of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, declaring that it is time for Ukraine to elect a new leader capable of reaching a deal to end the war.

According to a report by Israeli outlet Srugim, Trump sharply criticized Zelensky over Ukrainian strikes on Russian oil refineries, which he said are driving up global fuel prices. Croatian newspaper Jutarnji list reported, citing the Associated Press news agency, that Trump claimed Zelensky had lost 30% of Ukraine's territory and over a million people, and had not done enough to bring the conflict to a close.

An official response from Kyiv to Trump's remarks has not yet been released.
