Trump asserted that Russian President Vladimir Putin wants an agreement more than Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, and described the war as a disaster that must be settled.

According to Trump, both sides lost 32,000 people over the past month, mostly young soldiers. Addressing reports of Russian violations of the understandings, the president said he would examine the claims, while noting that violations had occurred on both sides.
