Trump on French Unrest: 'Mass Migration Out of Control'
The US president attributed the ongoing school protests in France to immigration and Islam, weeks ahead of the US midterm elections.
US President Donald Trump asserted that the wave of protests and unrest in the French school system stems from "mass migration out of control" and the spread of Islam in the country, Greek newspaper Ta Nea and Arutz 7 reported.
According to Trump, the events are unrelated to schools but rather reflect an effort by Islam to take over France. Ta Nea noted that his remarks come just weeks before the US midterm elections.
An official response from the French government regarding Trump's statements has not yet been released.
