US President Donald Trump commented on the Israeli election results, claiming that his public endorsement of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu prevented his defeat at the polls, Walla and Kan 11 reported. Upon landing at Joint Base Andrews, Trump stated that the race is close and that it is too early to determine whether the outcome is a deadlock or a victory.

In a post on Truth Social, the president claimed his statement of support completely reversed the trend, allowing Netanyahu to narrow the gap toward a dramatic tie or perhaps even a victory, as also reported by Arutz Sheva. Trump added that he acted out of a desire for what is best for Israel, the United States, and the entire region. Official ballot counting in Israel has not yet concluded.
