Severe weather in Spain has claimed two lives and left one person missing, with authorities warning of river overflows and urging vigilance.
Two people have been killed and another is missing following severe flooding across Catalonia in Spain, Spanish newspaper El País and Greek news outlet in.gr reported. According to the reports, one of the victims was a man who lost his life after a wall collapsed in the town of Tordera, north of Barcelona.
The extreme weather has caused widespread disruptions and cancellations across rail and air services in the region. Concurrently, Civil Protection authorities issued emergency mobile alerts over the risk of the Besòs river overflowing as rainfall intensified in Girona, warning the public to remain vigilant.
