UK: Norwegian Teen Sentenced to 20 Years for Contract Killing Plot

A British court sentenced Johannes Natland, a 19-year-old Norwegian citizen, to 20 years in prison following his conviction for conspiracy to commit murder, outlets Walla and Israel National News reported. Natland, who worked at a pizzeria, was reportedly recruited through an online video game and agreed to shoot an unidentified target for 25,000 euros.

According to reports, Natland acted on behalf of the Swedish criminal network Foxtrot, which has known ties to the Iranian regime. He was arrested in March 2025 in a hotel in northern England hours before the planned shooting, in possession of two firearms and ammunition, Croatian outlet N1 reported.

London police emphasized that no evidence was found directly linking Tehran to this specific case. Natland admitted to possessing the weapons but denied having any intention to kill.
