A US fighter jet disabled a commercial cargo ship in the Gulf of Oman after it attempted to breach the naval blockade against Iran, CENTCOM said.

A United States fighter jet attacked and disabled a commercial cargo ship in the Gulf of Oman after it attempted to breach the naval blockade on Iran, Arutz 7 and Behadrey Haredim reported, citing a statement from US Central Command (CENTCOM).

According to the reports, the aircraft struck the stern of the vessel, the Panama-flagged Ocean Molica—also known as the Arika Sun—using precision-guided munitions. The strike completely disabled the propulsion system of the ship, which had departed from an Iranian port and ignored warnings, without injuring any crew members.
