US: Initial Results in Midterm Elections

The United States midterm elections have entered their final hours. According to reports by the Jerusalem Post and CNN, Democratic Senators Jon Ossoff and Josh Shapiro have secured reelection to their seats. Ossoff won in Georgia, in a victory that was called earlier than expected, according to CNN analysis.

Meanwhile, President Donald Trump, accompanied by cabinet officials and political advisers, has gathered in the East Room of the White House to monitor election returns. Ossoff, who is considered by some a potential 2028 presidential candidate, has previously expressed criticism regarding Israel's conduct in the war in Gaza. Further details regarding the final composition of Congress have not yet been released.
