The death toll from the explosion at the Intel plant in Kiryat Gat has risen to two, after a 49-year-old worker succumbed to his wounds at Soroka Medical Center, news outlet ynet and The Jerusalem Post reported. A third worker injured in the incident remains hospitalized in serious condition.

According to the reports, the blast occurred while two trucks were unloading nitrogen into storage tanks at the facility. One truck had completed its delivery when the explosion took place during the transfer from the second truck, suspected to have been caused by a bursting gas cylinder.
