Araghchi stated that Tehran is prepared for both an all-out military confrontation and a diplomatic path, adding that the choice now rests with President Donald Trump. In response, US official Mike Waltz explained Washington's rejection of Iran's proposal to reopen the waterway, characterizing it as a cynical attempt to put forward terms known to be unacceptable.

Meanwhile, Brazilian newspaper Folha de S.Paulo reported that Iran's military reiterated its readiness for potential renewed US strikes. Further details regarding any resumption of diplomatic contacts have not yet been released.
