Iran's Revolutionary Guards Claim Capture of US Underwater Drone in Strait of Hormuz

Iran announced that its forces seized a US military underwater drone in the Strait of Hormuz, with local outlets reporting it is the second captured device.

Iran's Revolutionary Guards claim to have seized an unmanned underwater vehicle belonging to the United States military in the Strait of Hormuz, according to reports by The Economic Times and Norwegian newspaper Aftenposten.

According to Iranian news agency Tasnim and WANA News Agency, this is the second American military underwater drone captured by the IRGC navy in the area of the strait.

The United States has not yet issued an official response to Tehran's claims, and further details regarding the circumstances of the seizure or the specific type of craft have not yet been released.
