Lapid After Briefing with Netanyahu: No Reason to Panic the Public

Opposition leader Yair Lapid held a security briefing with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and stated afterward that there is no reason to plunge the public into panic and that the IDF is prepared, news outlets Srugim and Globes reported. The meeting followed Netanyahu's warning that Israel's enemies may attempt an attack ahead of the upcoming elections.

Netanyahu said detailed intelligence warnings regarding potential attacks were presented during the update. In response to Lapid's remarks, the Likud party accused him of either writing at lightning speed or preparing his statement before receiving the briefing.

According to Globes, while the IDF is preparing for potential escalation across multiple sectors, the military does not possess concrete intelligence pointing to an immediate escalation.
