Pope Leo XIV Concludes Paris Visit with Mass of 800,000

Pope Leo XIV has concluded his stay in Paris with a massive open-air service at the Place de la Concorde, ahead of the next leg of his tour in Lourdes. According to German broadcaster Tagesschau, approximately 800,000 people attended the mass, despite ongoing tensions between France and the Vatican. Greek outlet CNN.gr reported that following the conclusion of the service, preparations began for the pontiff's departure to his next destination.

According to Haaretz, central Paris was closed to vehicular traffic for the event, which drew followers of various faiths as well as secular attendees. Participants noted that they came to hear the Pope's message of peace and unity. Further details regarding the remainder of his French itinerary have not yet been released.
