US President Donald Trump stated that the American administration is investigating whether the Omani first officer involved in the flydubai flight incident is tied to Iran, newspaper Maariv reported. When asked if the pilot could have been planted by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), Trump replied, "It's possible, yes," and added a warning regarding Tehran's future.

Conversely, an Israeli official told The Jerusalem Post that Israel's working assumption remains unchanged despite Trump's remarks. According to the official, the defense establishment continues to assess that the co-pilot acted as a "lone wolf." Further details regarding the investigation have not yet been released.
